An immigrant herself, coupled with her mission to help others who need it the most, Anna Korneeva, Esq. is passionate about immigration and criminal law.

Anna earned her Juris Doctor Cum Laude Degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where she graduated at the top of her class.

While in law school, Anna received numerous awards, including Henry Clay Merit Scholarship and multiple Dean’s List Awards. Anna was an Editor of the Law Review and also participated in the Kentucky Innocence Project, where she investigated potential wrongful conviction cases. This is when Anna developed her interest in criminal defense and helping to protect those who are treated unjustly.

Anna Korneeva is licensed to practice as an attorney in the states of Ohio and Kentucky. She is also admitted to practice in federal court in the Southern District of Ohio, as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Attorney Korneeva is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, Northern Kentucky Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, Federal Bar Association and Northern Kentucky Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Anna’s knowledge of the law, professional work ethic, and advocacy on behalf of her clients allow her to stand out among other attorneys in the field. Attorney Korneeva was awarded Super Lawyer Rising Star for every year she practiced law. Marissa D. Richardson, Esq. Associate Attorney

Marissa D. Richardson, Esq. is an Associate Attorney at the Law Firm of Anna Korneeva. Marissa grew up in the Greater Cincinnati area and attended Northern Kentucky University where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. She then attended University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law where she graduated magna cum laude with her Juris Doctor.

While in law school, Marissa was an active member of numerous student organizations including the Louisville Law Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) where she acted as Vice President of Communications. Marissa also served as Articles Editor of the University of Louisville Law Review and participated in the International Service-Learning Program where she taught high school students abroad. She received numerous awards during her time at Louisville Law, including the Dean’s List and a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for earning the highest grade in her Law and Literature course. Finally, Marissa clerked at a well-known Louisville law firm where she gained excellent criminal defense experience working on Criminal Justice Act (CJA) appointed cases and pursuing post-conviction appeals in federal criminal proceedings.

Marissa is licensed to practice as an attorney in the State of Ohio. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Haley Elizabeth Moore

Haley Elizabeth Moore is a paralegal at the Law Firm of Anna Korneeva. Haley was born in Charleston, SC, and grew up in the Greater Cincinnati area. She attended the College of Charleston, where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Psychology, a B.A. in Spanish, and a minor in Linguistics. After graduation, Haley moved to Bogotá, Colombia with a Fulbright grant, where she taught English at the Fundación Universitaria Unipanamericana until the program’s cancellation due to the coronovirus pandemic in March of 2020.
 
Being a dual citizen herself and witnessing her mother’s experience immigrating to the United States, Haley is deeply passionate about immigration law. She began working in her first immigration firm as an intern in college, with the eventual goal of attending law school. She hopes to attend the Salmon P. Chase College of Law beginning this fall. 
 
Haley has worked on many kinds of immigration cases, including asylum, family petitions, and Special Immigrant Juvenile cases, and brings her experiential knowledge with her to her position at the Law Firm of Anna Korneeva. Of her responsibilities, she most enjoys working closely with clients and legal writing.
 
Haley is fluent in English and Spanish.

Natalia Smirnova

Natalia is a legal assistant at the Law Firm of Anna Korneeva. She relocated to the U.S. from Russia 11 years ago with her family. Natalia graduated from the International Academy of Business & Banking in Togliatti, Russia and holds a Bachelor of Law degree. She has 13 years of experience exploring law in the real estate area. Previously, Natalia’s roles included managing a team of employees, coordinating leadership to execute various tasks, and maintaining effective customer relationships.

In Cincinnati, Natalia worked as a Billing Specialist at a Home Health Agency for 4 years. She developed a strong understanding of medical billing and collections. She accurately managed financial documentation, handled customer inquiries with a friendly demeanor, and ensured accuracy in insurance claim processing.

Her legal background, combined with her experience in managing complex administrative processes, makes her an excellent addition to the Firm.

Natalia is fluent in Russian and English and learning Spanish.
